WeCare Manatee connects patients that are uninsured with volunteer doctors in the Manatee County area. Our main objective was to communicate 'what they did' clearly to donors, doctors, and clients. Previous site visitors were often confused. We cleared this up with repeated messaging throughout the website. If doctors were featured, we made sure that a bold headline explained the context. Also graphically we displayed a 'how we help' section with eye-catching icons.
We have specific messaging for all 3 target audiences. For patients, we outline a process of 'how to get started' along with a landing page. For doctors, we show a process to 'become a volunteer provider' and a landing page. For donors, we have various calls to action to start donating.
The old website had too much information in how it was presented. Our solution was to use a premium accordion: click to reveal hidden content. The content was more than just simple text, but complex layouts. This kept a ton of information tidy and easy to find.
The donation portal integrates with PayPal donations. Clients enter information and WeCare can provide a beautifully branded checkout experience with no added fees other than the standard 2.5%.
