The Lovable Lucy Book Series is a children's book created by a mother and daughter team Norma and Shayna. The books are about their lovable dog Lucy. Her adventures entertain while teaching inclusivity, positivity, and family.
We were give a large color palette of bright and bold colors. We divide up the sections of the website using those colors and used them in the top navigation. The colors work well with the diversity message. Animations of moving sections and Lotti images add excitement. The use of handwritten type and section separators adds a casual feel to the design.
The website is a full featured store. We designed custom store and product pages to include extra information related to purchasing options. Because there are only 2 products, we showcased them both in a larger format. A custom designed PDF page flipper was designed so user could get a preview of what is inside. This could be managed in the admin area.
Other highlights include an events manager with a custom designed events and product feed. A comic strip design is on the 'Our Story' page. A newsletter signup is integrated with Mailchimp.
