Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus & Orchestra were seeking to modernize their website with all the functionality needed to generate income from tickets and donations. Our design approach was to make the website have an ocean/beach feel but also be very sophisticated.
Site visitors needed to be informed about upcoming events. The home page has teaser sections with the closest event coming first. Each event has its own in-depth landing page: The Symphony on the Sand landing page showed what the experience is like through a video and a photo gallery. Details about pricing, talent, sponsors, and participating restaurants were included. The event was available for purchase but stopped due to Covid-19. The Young Solo Competition was informative with an application download.
We consolidated member participation into a Member dropdown. A member could either be a volunteer or a member of the chorus & orchestra. For donations, we used the WPGive plugin where people can place donations through a beautifully branded checkout experience. No extra fees other than the standard 2.5% Paypal is applied.
