Anna Maria Island Art League is a non profit organization that promotes local artists and enriches the community. People of all ages, from children to elderly, enjoy programs and events. The website had to promote a festival that occurs twice a year, show events, accept donations, and have a membership section.
The overall design is very vibrant with the league's purple and blue color palette. We used many paint brush, canvas, and other artistic motifs to reflect the Art League's mission and brand.
The past website was very wordy and difficult to navigate. It was our objective to simplify things while still being very informative. We accomplished this by placing very lengthy sections into tabs. The user simply had could click on a tab, and the more informative content would be revealed.
The website accepts donations which are tied to the organization's Paypal account. We allowed for open-ended donation amounts so that the user could decide on a custom dollar amount. An alternative way to support was by becoming a member. Memberships are broken into different price contributions called 'Gems'. Members enjoy great benefits and help the art community.
The festival occurs twice a year. Artists needed multiple ways to sign up and pay. We integrated the 3rd party 'Entry Thingy' to allow for filling out a form and payment. Artsits could also mail in everything as an alternative. The simplified tabs kept all of the rules and regulations very neat for the user.
Our solution was more full featured, more informative, and more simplified and clean. We've been told they've enjoyed higher contributions and very positive feedback since site launch.
